Corona police still looking for hit-and-run driver who struck a 44-year-old woman now on life support

Corona Police are looking for the driver of this black Mercedes SUV, whom they say was involved in a hit-and-run on Friday, April 21. Corona police are still on the lookout for the driver of a black Mercedes Benz SUV that struck and severely injured a 44-year-old Riverside woman. The victim, now identified as Dora Bran, is on life support at a local hospital, Corona police detective Andy Bryant said in a statement released Monday, April 24. About 4:45 p.m. Friday Corona police responded to the hit-and-run crash at the intersection of West 6th Street and Vicentia Avenue.

Flares witnessed being fired from a moving car on the 91 Freeway late Friday, April 28, started at least three small fires near Corona, according to reports. The Riverside police helicopter reported seeing someone shooting flares from a car, possibly a black Scion with red lettering, near the 71 freeway about 11:30 p.m. The crew then reported seeing fires starting north of the 91 on the 71. The first Corona fire crew to arrive reported separate fires of about quarter acre, one off the northbound 71 south of Euclid Avenue, the second off the southbound lanes.

Two Lake Elsinore men were arrested late Friday, April 28, in connection with a series of fires that were set in the Corona area, police officials said. A total of three fires popped up Friday evening : One on the east end of the Corona Municipal Airport and two more on the north and south ends of the 71 freeway, according to police and fire officials.

Her feline, Otto b Movin, a 2-year-old black and white exotic, sat in his cage arms crossed and unamused as the judges tried to get his attention.
